ZEROBASEONE's Kim Jiwoong Donates 10 Million Won to Support Wildfire Victims

ZEROBASEONE member Kim Jiwoong has generously donated 10 million won to assist those affected by the recent wildfires in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions. The donation was made through the Korea Disaster Relief Association, also known as Hope Bridge, as announced on the 27th.

According to his agency, Kim Jiwoong was moved by the distressing situation of people losing their homes to the sudden wildfires and wished to contribute to minimizing the damage. The news of the large-scale wildfire near his birthplace, Pohang, particularly saddened him, prompting his decision to donate in hopes of providing some relief.

Shin Hoon, the Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, expressed gratitude towards Kim Jiwoong for his quick and warm-hearted donation, especially notable for a rookie artist. The association assured that the funds would be promptly and effectively delivered to those in need, with ongoing emergency relief efforts in the affected areas.

Hope Bridge is currently providing emergency supplies to the wildfire-stricken areas of Gyeongbuk's Uiseong County and Gyeongnam's Sancheong County, including mobile laundry and recovery buses at temporary shelters. Additional support is under consideration in collaboration with local governments.

Donations for the wildfire victims can be made through Hope Bridge's website, Naver Happy Bean, and Kakao's Together for Good platform. More details are available on the Hope Bridge website.

Established in 1961 by media outlets and social organizations nationwide, Hope Bridge is a specialized disaster relief fundraising organization. Its activities include emergency disaster relief, fundraising and distribution of public donations, post-disaster community recovery, and support for vulnerable groups affected by disasters. To date, it has distributed over 1.6 trillion won in donations and more than 60 million relief items.
