Frequently Asked Questions

When did KFeed launch?

KFeed launched on December 15th, 2024.

What is KFeed?

KFeed is a platform that summarizes and translates articles from various popular kpop news sources. Our goal is to give you a quick insight and understanding of a topic, and the option to continue reading at the original source.

How does KFeed work?

KFeed uses AI to summarize and translate articles from various popular kpop news sources. One of AI's greatest strengths today is its understanding of human language. While AI is not perfect at everything, understanding meaning and context across languages is one of its strongest suits.

Will you offer full articles in the future?

Most likely not in the near future. Our goal is to give you a quick insight into a topic, and the option to read on at the original source if you so desire.

If AI is so great, why do I occassionally see errors?

While AI is great at understanding human language and its context, there is one thing it struggles with: Intepreting "made up" words. Even articles where you see errors, the context and meaning of the article is still correct. However, some group and idol names may be off. For example "에스파" (Aespa) or "엔믹스" (Nmixx) are not actual Korean words. They don't mean anything. So unless the AI is actually familiar with Aespa or Nmixx, it has to guesstimate how to translate this. This type of error is the most common one, and I am working on improving it by providing the AI with relevant glossaries when translating articles, but this is a manual process and will improve over time.

Why do I sometimes see "duplicate" articles?

The "duplicate" articles you've seen probably are from Naver. Naver itself is not a news source, but an aggregator of news. Meaning it collects news from various other sources - just like us! This is why you might think you're seeing duplicate articles. They're actually just similar articles from various sources, that were found on naver. Over time I plan to add more direct Korean sources, and rely on Naver only for sources I haven't manually added yet.
