SM Classics to Host First Orchestra Concert Featuring Red Velvet and SHINee's Minho

SM Entertainment's classical and jazz label, SM Classics, is set to host its first orchestra concert, marking a significant milestone in the label's journey. The concert, titled 'SM Classics Live 2025 With Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra', will take place on February 14th at the Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall and on February 15th at the Lotte Concert Hall. This event celebrates the 30th anniversary of SM Entertainment's founding and showcases SM Classics' innovative approach to blending K-pop with classical music.

Since its launch in July 2020, SM Classics has been reimagining K-pop hits into orchestral versions, starting with Red Velvet's 'Red Flavor'. The label has since released orchestral versions of 14 songs, including Girls' Generation's 'Into the New World' and Red Velvet's 'Feel My Rhythm', becoming a prime example of SM's original IP expansion. The upcoming concert will feature these orchestral renditions, offering a unique experience of SM's beloved tracks.

SHINee's Minho will narrate the opening for both days, while Red Velvet's Wendy will perform as a guest on the 15th, alongside conductor Kim Yu-won and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, promising an emotionally rich performance. Additionally, the February 14th concert will include media art productions, aiming to captivate the audience's senses fully.

Ticket sales for the Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall will open on January 21st at 11 AM, and for the Lotte Concert Hall on January 22nd at the same time. SM Classics plans to expand its original IP globally, starting with this concert and moving into performance and sheet music licensing businesses.
