SEVENTEEN, TXT, and NewJeans Join Forces for Global Music Charity
SEVENTEEN, TXT, and NewJeans, three prominent groups under HYBE, have made significant contributions to global music welfare through their participation in a charity auction organized by MusiCares. This initiative, announced on the 21st, highlights the groups' commitment to supporting the music community worldwide.
MusiCares, a foundation under the Recording Academy which hosts the Grammy Awards, plays a crucial role in enhancing the welfare of the global music industry. The charity auction, part of the Grammy Week events, benefits from the generosity of artists who donate items for auction. This year, SEVENTEEN, TXT, and NewJeans have donated concept outfits from their albums '17 IS RIGHT HERE', 'minisode 3: TOMORROW', and stage costumes from the '2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards', respectively.
Their participation not only underscores their global influence but also aligns them with other renowned artists like Ringo Starr, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Billy Joel, and SZA, who have also contributed to the cause. Notably, BTS has been a consistent donor from 2020 to 2023, demonstrating a strong tradition of philanthropy within the HYBE family.
The 67th Grammy Awards, set to take place on February 2nd at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, will also host this charity auction, further emphasizing the music industry's united front in supporting its community members.
