NewJeans Challenges Court's Activity Ban: What's Next for the Group?

NewJeans has taken a stand against the court's temporary ban on their activities by filing an objection, with a hearing scheduled for April 9 at the Seoul Central District Court. The group, consisting of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, submitted their objection on the same day the court upheld their agency's request to halt their activities and advertising contracts.

This legal move allows NewJeans to request a review of the decision by the same court panel. If the objection is dismissed, the group can then appeal to a higher court. Following the court's initial decision, NewJeans performed at the Hong Kong ComplexCon as planned but announced a temporary halt to all activities shortly after.

Their agency, ADOR, expressed hopes for a quick resolution, stating their desire to discuss the future with the artists soon. In a recent interview with BBC News Korea, Danielle shared the group's shock at the court's decision, highlighting the unexpected turn of events for NewJeans.
