MAMAMOO Unveils 10th Anniversary Remake Album 'Coloring' Project
MAMAMOO, the beloved K-pop group known for their powerful vocals and unique style, is celebrating their 10th anniversary with a special remake album project titled 'Coloring'. The project, in collaboration with various artists, aims to reinterpret MAMAMOO's iconic songs in fresh and innovative ways.
On February 21st, the first volume of the 'Coloring' project was released, featuring four remade tracks. These include Vanilla Muse's acoustic version of 'HIP', R&B artist D2ear's take on 'Um Oh Ah Yeh', UK-based singer-songwriter Sarah Chung's rendition of 'Starry Night', and the team Co.To's version of 'Rainy Season'. Each track comes with its instrumental version, offering fans a new perspective on these beloved songs.
This project was initiated by MAMAMOO's agency, RBW, in September last year, inviting musicians to participate. Out of 207 applicants, eight finalists were chosen, each receiving a prize of 10 million won along with support for arrangement, recording, and live clip production. The second volume of the project is set to be released on February 26th, completing this unique celebration of MAMAMOO's decade-long journey.
Additionally, RBW's official YouTube channel will feature interviews with the participating artists, adding depth to this commemorative project. This initiative not only celebrates MAMAMOO's enduring legacy but also showcases the talent and creativity of emerging artists in the music industry.
