K-Pop Stars and Agencies Donate Millions to Wildfire Relief Efforts

In response to the devastating wildfires spreading across Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions, South Korea's entertainment industry has stepped up with generous donations. SM Entertainment contributed 300 million won, emphasizing their commitment to aiding those affected by unforeseen disasters. Similarly, JYP Entertainment donated 500 million won through World Vision, targeting support for children and displaced families, with funds allocated for emergency relief, livelihood support, and psychological recovery programs.

The K-Pop community also showed immense solidarity. BTS members J-Hope and Suga each donated 100 million won, expressing hopes for a swift resolution to the crisis and a return to normalcy for all affected. SEVENTEEN made a striking contribution of 1 billion won, aiming to provide comfort and aid to those suffering from the wildfires. Other notable donations included IVE's 200 million won, alongside contributions from NCT's Mark, Lee Hyori, and Lee Junho, each donating 100 million won, setting a commendable example of social responsibility.
