K-Pop Queens Shine on Billboard Charts This Week

This week, the power of K-Pop female artists shone brightly on Billboard's main charts. According to the latest charts released by Billboard (dated March 29), a total of five K-Pop artists' songs/albums were ranked on the two main charts, 'Hot 100' (singles) and 'Billboard 200' (albums).

On the 'Hot 100', only one K-Pop artist's song made the list this week, with Rosé from BLACKPINK being the sole survivor from last week's six entries. Her collaboration with Bruno Mars, 'APT.', landed at No. 14, marking its 22nd week on the chart despite dropping eight spots from last week's No. 6 position.

The 'Billboard 200' featured four K-Pop albums this week. LE SSERAFIM made a significant impact with their fifth mini-album 'HOT', debuting at No. 9, the highest among K-Pop artists this week. This achievement also made them the first fourth-generation K-Pop girl group to chart in the top 10 of the 'Billboard 200' four times in a row.

BLACKPINK's Jennie and Rosé also made the list with 'Ruby' at No. 20 and 'Rosie' at No. 52, respectively, while Lisa's 'Alter Ego' ranked at No. 125. Notably, BTS's Jimin, who had set records for the longest-charting K-Pop artist on the 'Hot 100' (33 weeks) and 'Billboard 200' (34 weeks), was absent from both main charts this week, marking a bittersweet moment for fans.

The top 10 of both charts were dominated by global hits, with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, and Playboi Carti leading the way, showcasing the competitive nature of the international music scene.
