(G)I-DLE's Minnie has finally unveiled her first solo mini-album, HER, marking a significant milestone seven years into her career. In a recent interview celebrating the album's release, Minnie expressed her excitement and gratitude, particularly towards her group's leader and main producer, Jeon Soyeon. She shared, "I've been preparing for this moment for a long time, and now that it's here, I'm thrilled. It's a dream come true to debut solo, especially right after renewing our contracts with CUBE Entertainment."

Minnie, known for her contributions to (G)I-DLE's music through songwriting and composition, took on the challenge of self-producing her solo album. She revealed, "This album is a 100% reflection of my vision. From the album's color scheme to the photos and even the typography, I was involved in every detail. Seeing the physical album brought me to tears; it's a proud moment for me."

The album features seven tracks, all composed by Minnie, showcasing her wide musical spectrum. Among the tracks, the title song 'HER' stands out as a vibrant and funky pop track that delves into the theme of overcoming nightmares. Minnie also highlighted 'It’s Okay' as a particularly meaningful song, sharing, "It's the only track with a Korean title and holds a special place in my heart. Recording it was an emotional experience, reminding me of the struggles I faced years ago."

Minnie didn't shy away from expressing her gratitude towards Jeon Soyeon, acknowledging her significant role in (G)I-DLE's success. "I'm always thankful to Soyeon. She's incredibly talented and experienced, and I've learned so much from her. For my solo album, I wanted to challenge myself and explore different styles, something that showcases the new and diverse sides of Minnie."

As Minnie steps into the spotlight with her solo debut, she's determined to show her fans a different side of her artistry. "I poured everything I wanted into this album. With our contract renewal, I'm excited to continue making great music. This album has been a journey of self-discovery, and I hope my fans enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it."

HER was released on January 21, marking a new chapter in Minnie's career as she continues to explore her musical identity beyond (G)I-DLE.
