BTS's RM Donates 100 Million Won to Support Wildfire Victims in South Korea
BTS's leader, RM, has stepped forward to support the victims of recent wildfires in South Korea. The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on the 28th that RM donated 100 million won to assist in the recovery efforts in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions, areas severely affected by the wildfires. RM expressed his hopes that his contribution, though modest, would bring some relief to those impacted.
RM shared, "I decided to donate with the hope that even a small help could make a difference." He also extended his gratitude to the firefighters and relief workers, saying, "I am deeply thankful to those who are doing their best in the firefighting and relief activities." He added his wishes for the victims to return to their normal lives as soon as possible.
The wildfires, which began on the 21st in Sancheong, Gyeongnam, have been spreading for eight days due to dry conditions. As of the latest update, the containment rate stands at 86% across five cities and counties. Tragically, the disaster has claimed 22 lives, with additional reports of 8 seriously injured and 22 with minor injuries.
RM, who is set to complete his military service on June 10, continues to show his commitment to social causes, further endearing him to fans worldwide.
