BTS's 'Black Swan' Hits Half a Billion Streams on Spotify, Adding Another Milestone

BTS has achieved another significant milestone on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform. Their song 'Black Swan,' from the fourth studio album 'MAP OF THE SOUL : 7,' has surpassed 500 million cumulative streams as of March 25, according to Big Hit Music.

'Black Swan' is a dreamy track that combines trap drum beats, melancholic lo-fi guitar melodies, and catchy hooks. It carries an autobiographical message from BTS about the meaning of music in their lives. Released in January 2020 ahead of their fourth album, the song quickly gained popularity, entering the US Billboard Hot 100 at No. 57 and the UK Official Singles Chart at No. 46. It continues to be beloved, earning a 'Gold' certification from the Japan Record Association in the streaming category by 2024.

BTS boasts a total of 127 songs on Spotify that have each surpassed 100 million streams, with 14 of them exceeding 500 million streams. Among these are global hits like 'Dynamite,' which has reached 2 billion streams, and 'My Universe,' 'Butter,' and 'Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey),' each surpassing 1 billion streams.
