BTS Members Suga and J-Hope Donate Millions to Aid Wildfire Recovery Efforts
In a heartfelt gesture of support, BTS members Suga and J-Hope have made significant donations to aid the recovery efforts from recent wildfires in South Korea. Their agency, Big Hit Music, announced that both artists have contributed funds to help those affected by the wildfires in the Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions.
Expressing their hopes for a swift resolution to the ongoing wildfire situation, the duo shared, "We wish for the quick recovery of all those who have lost their homes and are facing hardships, as well as the brave individuals working tirelessly on the front lines. May this donation bring some comfort and hope during these challenging times."
J-Hope donated 100 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, earmarked for emergency disaster relief, community recovery, and support for vulnerable groups affected by the disaster. This act of kindness follows his previous donations for flood relief in 2023 and assistance to families affected by a passenger plane accident.
Suga also contributed 100 million won through the Korean Red Cross, with the funds intended to provide essential supplies like food, beverages, and daily necessities to wildfire victims. This isn't the first time Suga has stepped up in the face of disaster; he previously donated a similar amount in 2022 to help neighbors affected by wildfires in Uljin, Gyeongbuk, and Samcheok, Gangwon.
Since 2017, BTS has been actively involved in various charitable activities, demonstrating their commitment to giving back to the community and supporting those in need.
