BTS, IU, and More K-Pop Stars Rally to Support Wildfire Victims with Generous Donations

In a heartwarming display of solidarity, top K-Pop artists like BTS members, IU, and IVE have stepped forward to support the victims and heroes of the recent wildfires in South Korea's Gyeongsang provinces. IU contributed a significant 200 million won (approximately $136,441) to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, aiming to assist in damage control and enhance firefighter care. She expressed her heartfelt wishes for the swift resolution of the crisis and gratitude towards the firefighters' bravery.

BTS's J-Hope and Suga each donated 100 million won through Hope Bridge and the Korean Red Cross, targeting emergency relief, post-fire recovery, and essential supplies for those affected. Meanwhile, the boy band Seventeen made a remarkable 1 billion won donation, and other acts like IVE, Le Sserafim, and Twice's Jihyo also contributed generously. JYP Entertainment pledged 500 million won to aid 10,000 severely impacted residents.

The wildfire disaster, declared a national emergency, has tragically resulted in 22 fatalities, 18 injuries, and over 33,000 hectares of land damage. The entertainment industry's swift response highlights the community's commitment to aiding in times of need.
