BLACKPINK's Jennie Announces Debut Solo Album 'Ruby' with Global Collaborations
BLACKPINK's Jennie is set to make a monumental leap in her career with the release of her first solo album, 'Ruby', on March 7. This highly anticipated album will feature a total of 15 tracks, including her hit single 'Mantra' released last October, spanning various genres. What makes 'Ruby' even more exciting is the inclusion of collaborations with international stars such as Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, FKJ, and Kali Uchis, promising a global sensation.
Jennie's previous single 'Mantra' achieved remarkable success, topping the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in 47 countries and regions, including the US, Brazil, Singapore, the Philippines, and Mexico. It also made a significant impact on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking Jennie as the first K-pop female solo artist to achieve such a feat on the US iTunes chart.
Adding to her list of accomplishments, Jennie has been announced as a solo performer at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, set to take place on April 13 and 20 in Indio, California. This appearance is expected to further solidify her status as a global music icon.
In related news, BLACKPINK members Jisoo and Lisa are also gearing up for their solo comebacks in February. Jisoo will release her second solo album on February 14, while Lisa makes her return with 'ALTER EGO' on February 28, showcasing the group's continued dominance in the music industry.
